It’s Bowl Season, and this morning I have a football hangover.
Yesterday had its highs and lows:
First, Wisconsin showed up for the Big 10 (maybe they should’ve gone to the Rose Bowl instead of Michigan, but then again maybe not the Trojan's would've beaten the pants off of them). Good job Badgers. I was worried there for a little while, the third quarter was some pretty bad football, but Wisconsin pulled it together in the end.
Next, (the low light) Michigan…what happened???? I guess the Trojan’s are just too much for our Big 10 teams. Someone needs to knock the Trojan's off, I though the loss to UCLA would slow them down but I guess I was wrong.
Finally….(not a Big 10 team) Boise State…what more can I say. Can the Little Guy really win, Boise State says they can. After OT I didn’t think my nerves could take any more (and I’m not really a Boise State fan, just an underdog fan). Twice I thought the game was done and Boise just kept coming back. It was one of the best football games I have ever seen!!!!!! There needs to be a play off in the BCS.
Oh!!! I almost forgot to add another job well done by Penn State for the Big 10 (I didn't actually get to see the game)! I only wish my Boilermakers could get their act together and play some football. We just haven't been the same since Drew graduated.

Thoughts about the New Year
Today is the traditional day to make resolutions that we have no intention of keeping. So this year I'm not making any resolutions...I'm just setting some goals for this next year. (hmmm...that kind of sounds like a resolution..haha)
My number 1 goal is:
2. Pass the Patent Bar Exam...yes to be a patent attorney I have to take two exams.
3. Start saving for Christmas 2007, and instead of just putting the money in a savings account my plan is to make loans through Kiva. That way I save for Christmas presents and hopefully help change some one's life. "Killing two birds with one stone."
4. I want to get more involved in my community and in my church (Glendale SDA in Indy). For the past 3 1/2 years my life has revolved around school, now that is finally over I can get reconnected with the rest of the world.
5. Be a better friend. Like I said, my life has revolved around school, now its time to make time for all the wonderful people who helped me get the where I am. Thank you to everyone for being so understanding.
6. (This is more like a resolution, but I'm calling it a goal) Make a life list and get started on it.

Christmas at the Emergency Vet...Update.
Tuesday, December 26, 2006
Christmas at the Emergency Vet
Yesterday, Tom (my husband) and I spent most of Christmas evening at the emergency vet with our little girl Molly. She has some sort of kidney infection, and we don't know exactly what kind of bacteria is making her sick.
I have to say spending 4 hours at the vet's office isn't my idea of a great Christmas, but my Molly girl is worth it and hopefully she'll be on the mend soon.
I feel weird asking for people to pray for a dog, but she is more than just a dog to us, she is our family. So please pray for Molly.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
